I haven’t had much experience with roofing companies but these guys has to be one of the best around. Mr. Josh the project manager walked me through the entire process. AVCO worked so hard and efficiently to complete a beautiful job on our roof. Jason Clyburn and Vance Garvey were very helpful to insure all questions were answered and address any concerns we had. I greatly appreciate how careful AVCO was in protecting my flowers and shrubs in flowerbeds to not be damaged during the job. We started the process to getting our house reroofed in June of 2023. We had several companies come and look at our roof, none of them would take our house on because of years of neglect. AVCO Roofing was worth the wait. Sean came and meet with us in October, he helped us with the restoration of our home to get it ready for a new roof. During the restoration Sean stayed in constant contact with the builder and us. He came over and placed tyvek over the damaged roof until the house was ready for the roof.We needed 2 different types of roofs (one part is a flat style roof). The flat roof was the first to be installed, The crew came in and installed it quickly and cleaned up after themselves.Next, we went over the main roof’s materials and when those would be delivered and also placed on the property. Sean came by to make sure we received the correct delivery. And he found they delivered the wrong shingles, that was corrected.The main roof crew showed up early 6am, tarped the yard all around the house and spent the whole day working like a well oiled machine. Sean was not only overseeing the whole process he was on the roof supervising the crew.Please give them a call. They care.read more

Jason Clyburn was our project manager. He was very informative throughout the whole process. He is reliable and always responded quickly to all of our questions. He went out of his way to bring us samples at night to meet our schedule. He got us scheduled quickly and he and his crew did an amazing job. Ian and the team were truly delightful. Ian was diligent and trustworthy during the entire experience. The roof crew was efficient as well as attentive to our needs around the home. The clean up was amazing. There was a rain storm that interrupted our installation however it only heightened the care AvCo maintained with us. Lastly, Ian was professional as well as forthright with each detail question I had. Follow up has been just as good. I highly recommend AVCO roofing.read more

The February 2024 hailstorm tore up my roof and damaged a couple of my skylights. I reached out to AVCO for a roof replacement and they sent out Ian. He was an excellent sales rep throughout the entire process. He inspected my roof, worked with my insurance company, and provided me with guidance throughout the whole process.The roofing crew did excellent work from start to finish. They adjusted their schedules and worked late in the day to ensure the job was done completely and with minimal impact to my family and neighborhood.AVCO specializes in roofing, but they were also able to provide me and my neighbors with additional services from other professional contractors for replacing siding, exterior painting, and replacing gutters.read more

Jason Clyburn with AVCO is the only person we will ever use to roof our home. We had a new roof completed about 3 years ago and were very pleased with his professional work. From start to finish he and his crew did a great job. Then when the roof was completed they did an excellent job on cleanup.Then the roof was damaged 2/11/24 when a really bad storm with very large hail hit. I texted Jason asking him to come by when he could to check our roof - and this was on a Sunday. He came the next morning, inspected the roof and took pictures. Again we got things started with insurance claim etc. and the roof was completed in a timely professional manner just like before.We have recommended Jason to several friends and they contracted with him for their roof needs.Will not use anyone but him!read more

Excellent quality roof replacement after big hail storm. Helped us work with insurance and made that process pain-free. We were able to upgrade our shingle class for a good price for better impact resistance. Also great quality of work at installation -- no exposed nail heads, drip edges installed and flashing done nicely. Ridge vent newly added and looks great. The crew left our property very clean. Following a recent strong hail storm that damaged our home, a friend posted a recommendation for AVCO Roofing on Facebook. We had no experience with any roofing company, so we followed the recommendation and completed an inspection request on AVCO's website. Within 30 minutes an AVCO project manager (Ben White) called and said he would be out the next morning. When Ben came out, it didn't take long for us to tell that he had extensive experience with hail damage and insurance claims. Besides his professionalism, his friendly nature and no-hurry no-pressure demeanor made an unpleasant circumstance much easier for us. We were always made aware of when workers would be present and when work would be completed. I'm particular, and the AVCO tradesmen who replaced the roof and the gutters did a great job. They were careful not to damage plants and other outdoor things, and did a thorough job of cleaning up the considerable debris. Ben White is a tribute to AVCO, and we highly recommend both.read more

AVCO has been absolutely AMAZING. They went above beyond my expectations.I 100% trust them and would recommend them to anyone. Cary was the best! He was very attentive and was able to answer all of my questions.He ended up looking over some of the paperwork (it didn’t match up to my insurance quote). Turns out, I overpaid them by $600. Instead of keeping it, which would have been super easy to do because I would have never known, they were honest with me and let me know! He let me know i’ll be receiving a check soon for what I overpaid on. This is what I call a TRUSTWORTHY company!read more

Avco is the way to go if you have had storm damage or just want to update your roof. I could not be more satisfied with Avco Roofing. I called Avco Roofing thinking I was going to pay to replace my old roof. Hunter, our project manager, came out to give me a quote and told me I should file a claim with my home insurance agent as he could see wind and hail damage. Hunter came out and met with the adjuster. They were on my roof for over an hour taking pictures and documenting the damage. The claim was okayed within 24 hours! From start to finish Hunter and his crew were perfect. I would highly recommend their services to anyone needing a new roof!read more

Roof complete and clean up finished. Avco roofing done an amazing job!! Very professional!! Showed up at 6am got right to work removed a metal roof and then a layer of shingles. Project manager Jeremiah showed up at 7am and checked in every hour or so. Quality Control Andrew showed up at 9 am and checked in every couple of hours.read more

AVCO recently installed a complete new roof for me after I suffered wind-related damage. My project manager, Travis Peart, patiently worked with me all the way through as I considered and chose the color and impact resistant level of the shingles. AVCO Roofing Tyler & Social Media Business Reviews:Many times I’ve thought, everyone gives a review of the business they’ve just used.When I see that someone is reviewing a business like this, I think..Tell me how is going after a year or two!!Based on my own experiences; I can’t help but think that their opinion will likely be a little different after a year or 2.Soooo…First, I don’t work for AVCO, & no one asked for, or even knows that I’m about to climb on the soap box about AVCO.It’s been about 1.5 years since we had our roof replaced by AVCO Tyler, & every time I pull up & look at my roof I’m reminded of the experience..Obviously, I can only give my opinion about AVCO here, cause they’re the company we used. All of the other companies in our area (Tyler, TX) may be awesome.Based on my experience with AVCO, I’ll likely never find out personally, just how good the others may/may not be.Like most roofing companies, AVCO gave a free estimate for our obviously storm damaged roof & gutters.We delt with the same contact throughout the entire process.He gave us his business card, & added an additional contact number for him, for my questions.He was well spoken, down to earth, explained how everything worked, & used everyday speak instead of trying to sound like he knew everything and I couldn’t possibly..He explained how our insurance company/adjuster would likely handle our claim.From start to finish, he was spot on.He kept us informed every step of way.He walked with the insurance adjuster.He came to our house to speak directly to our solar company contact to managed the removal & reset of our panels, in my presence.He introduced us to the work crew leaders, & explained everything including their breaks, lunches, noise levels/times, cleanup, etc..As expected, he let us choose our new roof colors.He gave us all the info we needed about replacing, &/or repainting our gutters, without being pushy in the slightest, even after I declined.He came back after the job was supposed to be finished & scoured our yard for nails, after the work crew had already done it.!!!Big huge➕ here!!!While he & I walked the roof together at his request, we found 2 issues.Specifically; I found one issue & he found another.This is important for those of you that read between the lines &/or have experience with post work repairs.Up on the roof I found an issue along the ridge.At a glance, it looked like there was nothing wrong.I accidentally gave him the opportunity to say that the issue was not a problem & was good to go. Worse; I only suspected it was an issue & wasn’t 100% sure.Instead of saving his company about $1k, & telling me it was good to go, he had a crew out to correct the issue, within 48 hours.He never came inside my house prior to job completion, but while inside post completion, he realized that the ceiling in my living room is vaulted, which meant that our attic ventilation system was inadequate.AGAIN, he passed on the opportunity to save his company $$ & had the ventilation issue corrected, when I was 100% unaware that there was even a problem.Lastly; about 3 weeks after the work was done, AVCO called me about insurance $$ owed…Ever the skeptic, I thought, “here we go:/“Apparently; the insurance company paid a few hundred dollars more than the job cost.So; (read carefully) AVCO cashed the insurance check, MADE OUT TO THEM, from my insurance company, and then cut me a check for the excess money, while I was completely unaware of the excess.It don’t get more honest…Our “new roof” still looks new, (as it should:) with no signs of any trouble.We will not use another roofing company.AVCO for the win!-Dean DavisHome owner, Lindale TX.read more

Avco Roofing replaced our roof in May 2023. Carson Parman did an excellent job of coordinating repairs and interfacing with our insurance company. There were no surprises along the way and our roof was replaced in one day. If you have storm damage call Avco and let them help you through this process. Top notch service!read more

AVCO Roofing came highly recommended, so when I needed a new roof, I called them. TRAVIS PEART was my contractor, and he was superb. He explained every step of the process. Avco has an excellent insurance department that works with your insurance company. They take care of everything. TRAVIS was extremely personable, professional, and reliable. He was always on time, always pleasant, and was very attentive throughout the process. He was here several times during the installation and afterwards. It may not mean much, but AVCO Roofing gets my seal of approval! Brandon Gardner and the crew who installed our roof absolutely knocked this experience out of the park! Unfortunately, the process took a while longer than it should have because my insurance company was a disaster to deal with. Despite the hopeless frustration of dealing with a stingy insurance carrier, we were able to depend on Brandon to stick with us the whole way. He always managed to keep us feeling positive. He kept telling me, “We’re gonna get this done.” There were a few times I stopped believing him, but he kept up the fight for months, and here we are with a new roof with no hail damage, no leaks, and it is freaking beautiful!Given the chance to do it all over again 100 times, I’d definitely have a different insurance company, but I’d choose AVCO (and specifically Brandon) every single time.read more

Inspection was methodical and accurate, Roofers were top notch and attention to detail and they walked me through the process for insurance and helped me through it when insurance was inaccurate about the scope. A knock at my door ahead of a storm I answer it's Josh with Avco driving by he saw shingles had been blown off of our roof he stopped to offer to look at the roof to ensure we would be safe from potential leaks I asked about our situation with our chimney he caulked it for us... This gentleman went above and beyond for his neighbor not just for a job truly speaks to the character of this man and what he does for his neighbors. This is a bit of a delayed review as the work was done in mid 2021, but better late than never. Avco did some repairs on a roof they had installed on one of my properties before I had purchased it due to some leaking pipe jacks. I originally had an issue due to some communication problems between the technician, the office and myself, but once they realized there was an issue on their end, they went above and beyond to make it right. This day in age, that says a lot, hence the five star review. I have had other vendors dig their heels in and refuse to ever admit they could possibly be wrong, so the honesty was really appreciated.read more

Driving around Tyler, I think the best looking roofs are put on by AVCO. I'm the new proud owner of an AVCO roof and the service was amazing. Sean's attention to detail and overseeing the entire project ensured us getting an amazing finished product. In addition, Sean worked with a challenging coverage provider and our total out of pocket was just the deductible - which is what you'd expect but not at all what my last roof experience was like. We were needing a new roof for our house and we called Avco Roofing and another company. We had our estimates and decided to go with other company. Wrong they never showed up. So we called Avco and spoke with our contact Bill Hardie. Explained what had happened he said no worries and came back out with a complete detail of what would be done. Delivered goods and then on Wednesday Dec1, they were working and towards the end of the day it was over half done. They came next day and on Thursday we had a beautiful roof and the workers were so awesome and nice cleaned up after themselves and the roof is fantastic.Bill explained about the shingles and the color combo and he helped me in making my decision for the roof color. Best color of shingles.I would highly recommend Avco for your roofing needs honest dependable and Bill did not lead us wrong what so ever. Very pleased with Shiloh Childress and AVCO roofing. They were on time, worked hard, did quality work, finished on time and left the place spotless. They used nets around the structure to catch nails and debris plus rolled the yard and drive with magnets. They replaced our shingled roof and helped work with our insurance company as well as helping us with an addition that we added to our house which was a standing seam metal roof. Then, some months later, we had a small leak and they responded immediately spent all the time that was needed and did a great job repairing that as well! I could not be happier. Stephanie went way above and beyond the call of duty to make my experience with AVCO Roofing a positive one. There was a challenging set of problems due to a staff member not getting the work done. (He is apparently no longer with their company now.) Called to get a second opinion on roof replacement. The 1st company was a drive by and made my roof sound like it was in bad shape and way overdue and that we could get insurance to pay for it. Called AVCO and Chris Hughes came by the same day and gave a professional inspection and said the roof was still in great shape and that insurance would likely not agree to replace. AVCO Roofing recently redid my roof due to damage received from he tornado that was about a mile from my house, in Dallas! Jonathan was managing my project throughout most of the process and was always keeping in contact with me. My insurance was able to cover a good amount of the cost, so it was a great value to me and the roof looks great. Bill came on to close out my project and he is just as attentive. He went above and beyond what one would expect for roofing service to one of truly caring for my family and making sure that we were safe after wind and hail damage. These guys are fantastic. I had a small problem with the roof on my two-level apartment complex. I got the customary three bids and evaluated all three, not only for price but for the scope of work. Avco came in with a lower bid with the same scope of work so I hired them. We today I received a call today from Stephanie advising me when the roofers started the work it determined we did not need to do as much as originally thought. To my surprise the cost was only $400. Amazing..they could have charged me the $1200 and I would have never known the difference.
