This company did a fabulous job on my roof. My house is 92 years old and I was worried. Mr Cary and his crew went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. AVCO replaced our roof in 2018 and did an excellent job. When the wind would be blowing, we were hearing a strange noise in our den coming from the roof. We called Matthew who was the salesman when our roof was installed yesterday morning. Within about 30 minutes he had Andrew with the warranty division contact us. He and Josh, a project manager met at our house and quickly fixed the problem. Their promptness and professionalism were top notch. I called Avco to replace my roof when I had hail damage in 2018 and they did a fabulous job! Then again in 2023 I had a tree fall on my home and destroy part of my roof and had damage to the inside of my home. I called Avco and they handled the entire job. Let me first say it has been very difficult to find companies you can count on to do construction type work in east Texas. On June 16th a storm rolled through causing allot of damage in Upshur County. We had a large tree top lawn dart through our roof causing allot of damage all the way down to the carpet inside the house. We initially contacted a contractor to help with the repairs. As usual, 6 weeks into it we were still sitting here with nothing being done and no confirmation when work would begin. I found another contractor who has been fantastic “Jaggar Construction.” Mitch with Jaggar sent Josh with AVCO roofing out to inspect. Long story short; since our first contact with Josh at AVCO roofing, the process has been great. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty along with his crew. Josh has been fantastic communicating with us and keeping us in the loop every step of the way. AVCO sent out a top notch crew. Not only did they do a great job repairing and replacing our roof but their clean up after the job was even better. They exceeded my expectations. That isn't easy to do. If you need a roofing company for any size job do not hesitate to call AVCO roofing, specifically Josh. It is hard to find a company with integrity, great communication skills, and who takes pride in their work. I would go as far as to say I would put AVCO roofing up against any roofing company in east Texas. My money would be on AVCO. Thank you, guys, for a job well done. Josh Thompson handled my roof and was a gentleman and a kind soul. He was totally professional and responsive to every concern I had . We had a hail storm come through our town. I got in touch with Drake on Sunday night and he had someone call me from AVCO the next day. The gentlemen showed up ON TIME for the appointment. He was so professional and very informative. He was very knowledgeable of what needs to be repaired and what does not. He did not make up any false damages or claims, he was very honest. We were so thankful we do not have to file an insurance claim on our house. He also said he will keep our information and contact us if another storm comes through to follow up for any other future damages. He said he would stay on top of it. I had Josh Thompson of AVCO come out to assess my roof. Though it was in good shape he noticed an old Directv dish & antenna mounted there that wasn't used anymore and was an eyesore. He offered to remove it at least down to the base mount so no holes would be left in the roof but it would make it look clean from the ground view. I highly recommend Josh if you're in need of any roof inspections.read more

AVCO was the one I chose for 2 different projects regarding a completely new roof and as well as upgrade and installation of my patio cover. The best part and first thing head and shoulders above all others is their personnel. When you hire first class people, you can be sure the work, integrity and ethics will be first class as well. Not only was the work performed quick, on schedule, flawlessly and beautifully, the Representative assigned to me, Hunter Hembrough went over and above numerous times. I cannot recommend AVCO over all competitors enough. One competitor lived on my street and attempted to rip off my elderly Mother. I met with AVCO after this incident and was on high alert for anything odd. Hunter IMMEDIATELY had my confidence and also had the job. AVCO Roofing is AWESOME! My initial claim, with water running in my window, was denied. Kyle Childress patched the leaking roof and went to bat for me. He and the AVCO team went to work and ultimately got my claim approved and a new roof installed. One of their project managers, Josh Thompson, will do everything to make sure his customers are happy! From tarping roofs during a storm in the middle of the night to handling the entire profess from inspection to installation. We were extremely happy with the new roof that AVCO in Sulpher Springs installed. We live in Emory approx 26 miles from S.S. and they always showed up on time and ready to work. Our home and property were treated with respect and they cleaned up everything including every nail that fell to the ground. I can not say enough positive things about AVCO roofing and in particular Keith Larue. Keith walked me through the entire insurance claim process and was onsite when adjusters were examining the property. Constant communication was provided throughout the entire process and it really brought a great deal of piece of mind. The men that worked on the roof showed up on time and cleaned up each evening. Keith served as project manager, and was onsite multiple times a day. We did not have any nails left on the property like I have seen on other job sites. You could really tell they pride themselves on the quality of the job and respecting your property once it is completed.I also recently had them inspect another property in another town and they were extreme honest about the repairs and saved me a lot of money from what I was expecting.I would only recommend AVCO to friends and family. Miles Hogan's team did an excellent job replacing our roof in response to the April 2020 hail storm. Insurance company initially only approved 50% replacement, but Miles's team was able to work with the insurance company to get us 100% replacement. Professional team, on-time replacement, and appreciated Miles being on-site for the duration of the project. Definitely recommend AVCO and Miles Hogan.read more

I have nothing but praise for AVCO, especially for Hunter Hembrough, who took care of us from the beginning to the end of the process. Hunter went above and beyond. He was not only knowledgeable about his trade, but profesional, very patient and flexible. I had storm damage from the Oct 2019 storm. My insurance company sent an inspector and they determined that the damage was less than the deductible of $4700. I had about 5 different companies stop by and offer to get on my roof and look around. None of them were on it for more than 5 minutes over the next 9 months. Dave Freeman with AVCO stopped and asked if I minded if he took a look. I agreed but not really expecting anything different than the other 5. Boy was I wrong! He came down off of the roof after taking about a 100 pictures. He said that he believed that there was sufficient damage to the roof, gutters, patio cover and chimney to try again. I agreed to do it but again not expecting much. Again, I was 100% wrong. The insurance company inspector came out again and armed with plenty of documentation the inspector agreed with everything that Dave showed him!I couldn't believe it! Oh did I mention that during the period between the damage and getting my house repaired, I had changed to a different insurance company. Yes that's right! He told me that I was within the period that I could file against my previous insurance company. So I went from a claim that was less than $5000 to a claim check for over $30,000!I couldn't believe it! There were a few unexpected issues that were discovered along the way, but Dave always came through with an alternative. He was very attentive and really did look after the customer. We closed everything out yesterday (roof, gutters, patio cover, chimney, roof turbines and soffit vents ) and I could not be happier. I would highly recommend Dave and AVCO to anyone. Trustworthy and attention to detail is the experience you will have.read more

Wow! I called AVCO on a Monday morning after our roof leaked during a rain storm. Representative Shiloh Childress came that afternoon and determined the only problem with the roof was around a vent which they fixed the following day. I fully expected to be told I needed a new roof. Honesty and integrity from a roofing company was not in my vocabulary until calling AVCO and Shiloh Childress.read more

The roofing job was great. I think they did a very good job. I did have some issues getting them to come back and take care of a gutter that was not hung correctly (did not drain right). It took many phone calls and emails to get the problem fixed, but they finally did take care of it.I would recommend them, but just be prepared to have to work a little bit to get any post job adjustments done.read more

Keith not only fixed the roof, he also dealt with insurance for me and set up all of the other repairs that needed to be done. AVCO installed our roof in April 2018 and was extremely helpful through the process. Tyson took the time to explain everything to us. Then this year in one of the storms a limb fell on the house and caused some minor damage. I called for them to check it out and within a few hours Tyson was back to check it out. He was able to repair the damage the same day. All roofing needs I will ever need will go through AVCO and preferably Tyson as he is professional and responsive to questions and concerns.read more

Grandparents had a bad leaking metal roof. No one wanted a leak not something wrong with this roof. Eric Hill from AVCO was contacted. In no time he was out and has done a full inspection of the roof. Soon after, he identified the problem causing the leak and had the roof leak free. Even had to get specialty equipment to get the job done Eric did great work on my grandparents roof. He is very professional and efficient. Our roof leaked in February of 2018. My wife called AVCO Roofing and Cade Carnette came out to assess the status of our roof. He found bad hail damage, put his own tarp over it, and let us keep the tarp through the rainy season. Cade assisted us through the insurance process and explained clearly what the next steps were. The insurance company agreed that the roof needed to be replaced, so we met with Cade to set a date for the replacement. Cade explained in detail what we could expect to happen on the day of the replacement and gave us several color options for the new shingles along with several examples. On the day of the replacement, AVCO Roofing showed up at about 7:30 am and was done replacing the roof by 3:00 pm. All in all, AVCO Roofing made the process of replacing our roof streamlined and less stressful. We love our new roof and would gladly recommend them.read more

After having difficulty finding someone in Carthage to repair a leak on our roof, we eventually met AJ working on another house in the neighborhood. He inspected our house and found hail damage, and he guided us through the process from when we filed the insurance claim until his crew was cleaning up after replacing our entire roof.
